Hernando and Felipe

Hernando and Felipe, shown above, set out in 2023 to create an affordable housing experience tailored for the unique needs of rural areas like Anderson Valley, California. With Hernando serving as CEO of Magdalena Homes and Felipe as an early angel investor, they’ve activated a model that bridges countries, cultures, and communities. By organizing resources across borders and staying focused on resident experience and quality of life, Magdalena Homes has delivered a proven approach to sustainable, affordable housing—one that is kind, respectful, and effective.

Roland

Roland, pictured above, provided the financing that launched Magdalena Homes’ very first rental studio—giving the project the lift it needed to get off the ground. Beyond his early investment, Roland has been a steady source of advice and encouragement, offering both strategic insight and hands-on support. A frequent visitor to Anderson Valley, Roland remains closely connected to the mission, helping to shape a future of affordable, dignified housing from the very beginning.

Mauricio

Mauricio, pictured above, has been an essential force behind the success of Magdalena Homes. From preparing house sites and installing homes to responding promptly to every maintenance or repair need, Mauricio is the go-to person for residents and team members alike. His hands-on skill, dedication, and warm spirit have made him a cornerstone of the Magdalena experience. Trusted, appreciated, and deeply valued, Mauricio is truly part of the Magdalena family.
